Flat Roofing Materials
About 25% of homes in DFW have some sort of flat roofing on their property. There are two materials we often use when roofing these flat surfaces, with less than a 3/12 pitch.
TPO
TPO is cost-effective, lightweight, easily repairable, and energy efficient. We often use GAF Everguard60 mil TPO has a lifespan of about 15-20 years in most cases.
PROS:
- Inexpensive / Easy to install
- Energy efficient
- Very lightweight
- Easy to repair
- Low maintenance
CONS:
- Not as durable as other materials
- Not walkable
- Lower lifespan (15 years on avg)
