    Built Up Tar & Gravel

    Built Up Tar & Gravel

Built Up Roofing / Tar & Gravel
Another incredibly durable system for low-slope roofs is called a built up tar & gravel roof, which also is applied using multiple layers of fiberglass or base material, topped off with a layer of pea gravel which is great for resisting hail or damage from any traffic that may be on the roof. While leaks can be harder to find down the road on a roof of this type, the multiple layers of redundancy helps make sure that you don’t have any to begin with for decades to come.
